Hi, I'm Lisa
Compassionate Care for Deep Healing
With more than 20 years of experience dedicated to caring for individuals and families in our community, I’ve learned that the journey through trauma is deeply personal. My priority is to create a space where you can feel truly safe and supported through your journey, challenges, and healing.
Often, "trauma" is not what immediately comes up for someone. It can be hidden behind coping. What can arise is relationship or work difficulties, problems with drugs or alcohol, loss of self or difficulty in balancing all that is going on. Trauma is often hidden under what you are seeing or doing.
Academically, I bring a wealth of specialised knowledge as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Registered Nurse, together with post graduate Psychology where I am completing master's level. I am professionally registered with both PACFA and AHPRA.

Professionally, I bring lived experience, together with a vast work experience within community mental health, suicide support services, drug & alcohol services, IVF, reproductive, and domestic violence support, and services for relationship support with partners, children, friends, and colleagues. I have also worked with professionals and the spiritual alike, with an understanding and collaborative belief that what helps heal you, is best for you.
I'm truly passionate about helping individuals through life's most difficult times. Our unique personalities and life path often shape how we perceive challenges, sometimes making them feel insurmountable. Yet, I believe there is always a way through. My commitment is to help you find that way, to recognise the incredible resilience within you, and to re-discover or rebuild the person you truly want to be. We’ll embark on this journey together, to help you recognise your inherent strengths, even if that person feels distant right now. You are not alone in this; together, we'll find your chosen path forward.

My practice is dedicated to providing specialised and compassionate support in areas that deeply impact well-being. I have a particular passion, expertise, and lived experience for guiding individuals through:

Addiction: Supporting your journey through various types of addiction, cravings, triggers, and recovery.

Relationship Breakdown: Support whilst working through challenges, help to journey through whilst building strength and knowledge of self.

IVF, Fertility Issues, and Reproductive Treatment: Providing empathetic support for the unique emotional toll these journeys can take in preparation, during, and after treatment.
My work extends to all people who are in need of support, frontline medical staff, emergency service workers, and members of the community whose roles or experiences expose them to ongoing stress, anxiety, and trauma. Diverse populations, minority groups, and all people wanting to work through difficult situations are welcome.

Individual Therapy
I offer a safe and supportive space where we can compassionately work through your unique challenges, concerns, and past traumas. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a Psychodynamic approach to understand and explore both current patterns and their deeper roots. Together, we'll develop a stronger sense of self and move forward at your own pace, empowering you to cultivate lasting well-being.

Relationship Counselling
Relationships are at the heart of our lives, bringing immense joy but also presenting unique challenges.
Every couple faces ups and downs, and sometimes, navigating these hurdles can feel overwhelming. Using Gottman Method, I work with the complexities of relationships and offer a compassionate space for you to reconnect, resolve conflicts, and strengthen your bond

Our support group programs offer a safe and nurturing space to share, learn, heal, and grow alongside like-minded individuals.
Here, you'll discover you're not alone as we collectively explore vital topics, practical tools, and empowering knowledge. This shared journey helps each person navigate challenges, understand themselves more deeply, and foster personal recovery.
By strengthening your relationships and reconnecting with your goals, we’ll take thoughtful, step-by-step actions to help you heal from past trauma and move toward a more peaceful, empowered version of self.
Trauma, Coping, and Finding 'Self'
Healing trauma asks us to do more than just address past pain; it invites us to rediscover who we are beyond it.
In a safe and non-confronting space, we will embark on this journey together, exploring:

Rebuilding relationships with confidence and clarity, and developing your true self.
It’s common for unresolved trauma to manifest as anxiety, fatigue, immune issues, or challenges in conceiving. Sometimes, coping strategies such as avoidance, alcohol and other drugs, or challenges with relationships become ways to manage the thoughts and feelings of trauma.
Drawing upon evidence-based research, I offer a compassionate space to explore your unique way of experiencing and coping with past trauma. We'll uncover how these individual patterns can sometimes lead to avoidance or maladaptive coping styles that feel stuck or overwhelming when you're navigating them on your own.
My approach gently guides you towards safety, awareness, and renewed trust in your own strengths.
